If you're going to the AGM this year, don't forget it's a great place to bring and buy spares, especially with the 'Auntie Wainwright's' sale that we hold too.  If you're really well organised like our member Chuck Berry and have some sizeable parts for sale, you can take a leaf out of his book and list the parts on our Members Facebook Group and contact Chuck directly if you want to purchase anything sizeable that he might be able to bring along for you.

Chuck's list is below, along with the link on our members Facebook group.

If you'd like to get in touch with Chuck outside of Facebook, then click here to send us your contact email address and we'll forward it on for you.

Following on from major remodelling of his 1963 Mk1 Springbok, there a few bits left over The brief list (so-far).

  • Metal bed frames with webbing and support brackets. - £50.00
  • Full Set of cushions Blue pattern. £300.00
  • Complete set of lined curtains in light Blue - £200.00
  • Seating and curtains are excellent as maybe a recent refit by previous owner.
  • Under floor gas heater - Possible museum piece!
  • Stainless steel Kitchen Sink/drainer - Round bowel : £10.00
  • Fridge (gas only) Model RM 122F- not fully tested but appears to be OK - £50.00
  • Large GRP Morelight Cover (6' x 4') with most fittings ; £100.00
Chuck is going to National at Hereford so could bring “stuff” with me (paid for first) if there is room!
All prices negotiable.

If anyone else has anything they'd like to share about spares for the AGM, feel free to post on the Cheltenham Owners Group Members Facebook page, or we will happily make a post like this for our members only.

With the clocks springing forward last weekend, we'll have turned our thoughts to the caravan season entering full swing.  Members, if you're still thinking about where to take your Cheltenham, there's only 8 weeks to go until our National event and AGM in Hereford, from Tuesday 2 June to Saturday 6th.  There's still some spaces left for any members who'd like to come along.  But hurry as we need to ensure all food orders are pre-booked by 30 April 2026. And, as ever, your club will appreciate your support too!

The 'Bangers and Cash:Restoring Classics' episode featuring a Cheltenham Puku 2 (series 7 Ep6) is now available on the U&Yesterday channel app. It's next due to be on air Thursday 13 November 2025 at 8pm on the same channel.

The Puku made a very special appearance at this year's 75th anniversary national rally.  It follows the caravan's journey from its purchase by the Banger's Resto team, through the restorers' workshop, followed by a visit to the 75th anniversary rally in Tewkesbury at the end of May 2025. Club members were keen to see what had been done to the van.  You can watch their comments by streaming the link below.  Derek Mathewson gives his inimitable take on all things Cheltenham, but he only says what we already know...
